The singer Zlata Ognevich who recently laid down the powers of Member of Parliament, gave a solo concert in America.
Zlata Ognevich was invited to the Ukrainian diaspora in Chicago for the finals of the annual contest "Miss Ukrainian Diaspora 2015". Zlata’s staying in the American metropolis was culturally rich - the singer visited the Ukrainian school, where she met with children and told them not only about music but also about their own country. It should be noted, that Zlata Ognevich sang at her solo concert with a children's choir of St. Nicholas school in Chicago.
And the mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel welcomed Zlata Ognevich in an official letter on the contest "Miss Ukrainian Diaspora 2015". - We are honored to welcome Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich in Chicago - is written in the document from the mayor of the city of Chicago.
In addition, the Ukrainian star visited the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago and got acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian diaspora.

Of course there was the traditional walks in the centre of Chicago. Pictures of her excursions Zlata shared on her official Facebook page. But to perform at a concert in Chicago, Zlata Ognevich chose embroidery from the famous Ukrainian designer Vita Kin.
Soon Zlata Ognevich will return to Kiev, where she will work on the installation of her new clip "Lace", directed by epatage music video director Eugene Timokhin.
By the way, while Zlata Ognevich is in Chicago, in Ukraine she was awarded with the prize "For Civic Position" from "Woman of the III Millenium."
Zlata Ognevich wasn’t able to attend the event and to receive the prize from the hands of the organizers. Nevertheless, the artist recorded a video message directly from Chicago, in which thanked the organizers for the honor and urged all Ukrainian women to be feminine.
